Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian music producer and singer. She began her career in the early 1990s. has been described as going beyond "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. She has also incorporated elements from electronic music, hip-hop, and rock. A lot of her songs focus on sci-fi themes as well as feminist issues. There have been five albums. Grimes was born and raised in Vancouver but moved to Montreal around 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion at the beginning of 2000. Two albums were released through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa during 2010. Following her the signing of 4AD her popularity grew with popularity with Visions which was her third album on the studio. Visions comprises the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and won the Canadian industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. The album followed this and her fourth studio album, Art Angels, was released in 2015 , and was met with critical praise as several publications called it the top album of 2015. 6. Her fifth album Miss Anthropocene, was released in 2020. Grimes was also an actress and judge on Alter Ego's competitions for music, played a part as singer as part of Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in 2020. Georges Georges Georges
