Her most well-known work is her part in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, a sitcom starring Ashley Banks. She began singing when she was 4. Her mother would encourage her to go to an audition with Sesame Street. In 1985, when she was 6 year old, she began her acting career as a regular on the PBS children's education program Sesame Street. She continued her acting career in New York City with many productions that included Fences the Broadway production, and Orfeo del Campo which was an off-Broadway production. At the age of seven, she appeared on Star Search and won twice with a rating of four stars for her appearance the second time.
